The degree is a blend of interactive learning methods by introducing concepts of experiential learning, debates, critical analysis techniques etc which will help in student’s personality development along with academic teaching. The learning pedagogy will promote critical thinking and communication skill sets. The program aims to bridge the gap between the traditional classroom learning and lack of field experience. Students will be acquainted with actual functioning of the government and various policy making exercise.

The program includes rigorous academic and field learning with exposure to subjects like Indian Constitution and Governance, Indian history - ancient to medieval to modern and post-independence challenges - aspects of Indian economy, concepts of environment and challenges like climate change, world trade, disaster management or international relations. Such diverse subject knowledge will equip students with necessary tools for multi-dimensional understanding of issues. The dissertation in last trimester or the attachment activity will expose students to dimensions of self-learning and decision making.

  • The course subjects are sequenced in such a manner that continuity for three years is maintained. Methods like differentiated learning will equally emphasise on co-curricular activities, book reading and so on.

Employability

  • The course structure and syllabus prepares students in areas of policy research and policy making, which is growing with governments opening up activities like CM Fellowship program or PM fellowship program etc.
  • Working with NGO and civil society organizations, with a view of growing CSR activities and funding. The dissertation in last trimester will expose students to dimensions of self-learning and decision making.
  • Course has multi-disciplinary structure which prepares students for various central and state examination.
